At Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, the Hikari Project proudly hosted the Africa Kids Summit.

The summit connected children from Japan and various African nations via live broadcast, creating a vibrant space for cross-cultural exchange. The event opened with an animated film showcasing iconic landscapes from each country, followed by performances of traditional dances and songs by participants from around the world.
Five members of the Hikari Project who had trained in Rome took part, with 12-year-old Rea boldly declaring the summit’s opening. Each child then gave a speech in front of a large audience, choosing a single word—such as “Future,” “Hope,” or “Life”—as their theme.

The sight of children from different languages and backgrounds sharing smiles and stories deeply moved the audience and highlighted the immense potential of international exchange for the next generation.
